Ravenna, Italy is the mosaic capital of the world. Walking through Ravenna, you begin to understand mosaics as more than a decorative surface. It’s an art form, one that has shaped the visual language of this city for centuries.
Centuries-old works cover walls, ceilings and domes, each one built piece by piece and still influencing the way artists work with glass and stone today.

A look inside the world of SICIS in Ravenna. 🇮🇹
Seeing how their glass is made gave us an entirely new appreciation for the material, but what stayed with us most were the spaces themselves. Each installation felt completely unique, thoughtful and unexpected.
Color, texture and detail were everywhere, showing the true range of what glass can do. From subtle surfaces to immersive, highly detailed installations, it was incredible to see just how versatile the material can be when given the right vision.
An inspiring look at glass beyond the tile itself and a visit we won’t soon forget.
